The Official Launch of the NDAP® Senior Outreach Project
Something incredible is happening across Northern California.
What started as a vision to ensure seniors, caregivers, veterans, and medically complex individuals have someone to help them navigate the complicated world of dental care is quickly becoming a statewide movement.
The National Dental Advocacy Program® (NDAP) is proud to officially announce the launch of our Senior Outreach Project, and we couldn't have asked for a better way to begin than by participating in our recent Senior Health Fair.
More Than a Health Fair—The Beginning of Something Bigger
The event was more than an opportunity to meet community members.
It was an opportunity to listen.
Throughout the day, we spoke with seniors, caregivers, veterans, healthcare professionals, social workers, nonprofit organizations, and families who shared real stories about the barriers they face every day:
Understanding treatment recommendations
Finding affordable dental care
Navigating Medicare and insurance questions
Coordinating dental care with complex medical conditions
Locating trusted resources
Knowing where to turn when they simply need guidance
These conversations reaffirmed exactly why the Senior Outreach Project was created.
People don't just need dental treatment.
They need someone who can help them understand their options, ask the right questions, connect with resources, and advocate alongside them.
That is the heart of dental patient advocacy.
Building Community Through Collaboration
One of the most rewarding parts of the event was meeting so many incredible organizations that are already making a difference in our communities.
We were inspired by the dedication of nonprofit leaders, healthcare providers, senior resource organizations, veterans' groups, government agencies, and community partners who all share one common goal—helping people live healthier lives.
The National Dental Advocacy Program® believes that no single organization can solve every challenge alone.

What Is the Senior Outreach Project?
The Senior Outreach Project was created to bring trusted dental advocacy directly into the communities that need it most.
Our goal is simple:
To educate, empower, and advocate for individuals who often struggle to navigate today's dental healthcare system.
Through this initiative, NDAP is expanding community outreach by providing:
Educational presentations for senior centers, community organizations, churches, healthcare providers, and nonprofits
Dental advocacy education for caregivers and family members
Q&A sessions about navigating dental care, Medicare, insurance, and treatment options
Community resource fairs and health events
Connections to trusted dental and medical resources
Patient navigation support
Free educational resources and advocacy tools
Collaboration with healthcare and community organizations
