Shelbey Arevalo, BCPA
I’m Shelbey, a lifelong dental professional turned patient advocate, and the founder of the National Dental Advocacy Program®. My mission is to make dental care easy, accessible, and stress-free—especially for seniors, caregivers, and individuals with disabilities. It is my absolute pleasure to be of service to you and your family!

My journey started in 2010, when I earned my Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) license in high school and fell in love with dentistry. After spending years chairside, I took a short detour into phlebotomy, where I worked as a CPT1 lab manager for a stem cell research company. That chapter opened my eyes to the bigger healthcare system—and how difficult it is for patients to navigate on their own.
That realization stuck with me.
In 2019, I launched Arevalo Elite Services to help dental practices streamline operations and improve billing systems. Since then, I’ve supported providers nationwide and expanded my work to include patient-facing advocacy—ultimately leading to the creation of the National Dental Advocacy Program.

In 2018, I became the primary caregiver for my father after his stroke left him wheelchair-bound. Managing his healthcare, insurance, and communication with providers taught me firsthand how broken and overwhelming the system can be for families. That experience fuels everything I do.

The National Dental Advocacy Program was born from a simple idea: patients need support, not stress. We’re creating a network of trusted dental advocates, connecting patients to services like mobile care, tele-dentistry, and one-on-one navigation to help patients get the care they deserve—without the confusion or red tape.
